Silly little girl...

Oh boy the past two days have been quite surprising with Julles!! Yesterday, we were all sitting in the family room watching a movie, the boys were even there! I looked around and sitting on the couch were Jonathan, Beene, and Jason... on the little couch was Joseph (half asleep) and on the recliner was Jeremy. But, where was Julles. I was looking everywhere for her, calling and everything. I was walking through Beene's room for the billionth time and I said, "Julles Gabrielle... Where are you??" I hear a faint, "I'm in here!" She was inside the toy box turned dress up box with the lid closed!!! I opened it and she said, "no mom, I want it closed!!! Luckily there are holes in the back of the box, I don't know how long she had been in there. I thought that she was in the basement playing. I grabbed my camera and snapped a picture and got her out of there asap!!

Then, today I was checking everyones blog's and Beene came in asking for a drink. I went into the kitchen and this is what I found!! Julles had climbed up the drawers to get up on the counter so that she could get her animal cookies. She said, "I need a snack!" I once again grabbed my camera and snapped a picture and got her down asap!!

Man, she has never done things like this!! I thought this stage was in the 1-2 year old age! I guess I have my hands full!!

Family Painting Time...

One of the girls favorite things to do for "family time" is to water color with their daddy!! He get's right in there and will paint anything they ask him to. On this day, they were all hard at work, painting thier masterpieces!!

Daddy and his girls painting away!!!

Again, hard at work... painting and painting!!
Beenie's final masterpiece... the happy faced pumpkin!!! You can see it... right??

Julles painting style is more abstract!!! She just slaps a bunch of different colors on there and calls it good!!! She calls this one, "mommy". It is just beautiful!!!

Little Girl's Garden's!!!

The girls have been begging us for a "garden" for a few weeks, so we took them to Lowes and they picked out some flowers. It was my first ever planting of flower's experience I have ever had. It was fun! The girls had a total blast!

This is a planter that I have by my front door, and I think when the flowers start to thrive, it will be really pretty!
This is the girls garden in our backyard. We have this flower bed that didn't have anything in it, so we planted 4 rows of flowers in it. This is only half of the big ol' thing!! Don't mind the rubber ducky on the window well grate! The first row has little red flowers in it, the second has red/white/pink flowers in it and the third and fourth have little purple flowers in them. It is hard for me to remember to water them everyday with the plant food! But, I am hoping not to let them die! Off to the left of the flower bed, you can see a gigantic rock on the patio... I dug that out of one of the places I planted a flower!! Obviously they didn't take the rocks out before puting the bark in!!

Girls Night Success...

Wednesday night I had our last neighborhood girls night until September. It was tons of fun, and we made super cute cards. Amy always has the cutest things for us to make! We love her tons and appreciate all the fun girls nights she gave us!! The following are the cards that we made!

I am glad that she did this one, I have this stamp set and I never know what to do with it!!! It is a little out of focus, but the bottom says "eat cake" and the light blue piece of paper has "happy birthday" stamped all across it!

I love this one, I think it is one of my favorite birthday cards that I have done yet!! I love this "B" stamp set. You can do lots with it!

This was by far my favorite card of the night! It is so stinkin cute with these colors and I love that it is a "just because" type of card!!!

Thanks to Amy again, for making our year of Girls Nights something to look forward to! It was also fun because my sister Stacey and her girls were able to come and partake of this fun night!

Ohhhhh... So cute!!!

Meet the cutest bunny with no name...
Yesterday, Jeremy called us asking for a box, and if we could come and pick him and his friend up from Macey's. He informed us he'd purchased a bunny, and needed the box to bring it home in. He needed us to watch it for the night because he was going to a movie. We of course made sure that his mom was ok with him getting this cute little thing. Jonathan picked him up and made a make-shift cage for the little fur ball. We dropped Jeremy and his friend off at the movie and hit Petsmart! Jonathan hooked Jeremy up with all the "bunny" goods. We got him a super cool cage, with water bottle, feeding bowl, food, alphalpha, and vitamins. Who knew a bunny needed all those things to start off a new life!!! We got home and set up his new digs and it was funny, cause Beene kept asking Jonathan, "is the cage done yet daddy? Can you put the bunny in the cage yet?" Jonathan informed her that he was not going to be the one to put the bunny in the cage, and that it wasn't done yet. Finally, the cute little thing had a new home and LOTS of food. Can you say, "starved little bunny"?? That thing started eating and didn't stop until Jeremy took him home tonight! It really likes hay! We had to give it hay refills maybe 4 times today!!!

Needless to say, the girls are inlove with this little bunny with no name! We keep asking Jeremy what he is going to name it, and he can't decide yet! So, the girls and I decided it was a girl, and that we were going to call her "bun-bun"! The girls couldn't stop looking at her. Julles had perma-lines in her forehead, nose and chin from pushing her face up so close to the cage. We had her cage up on the counter, and the girls had done really well not pushing it or anything, so I headed over to the couch to watch a little show, and I looked over and Julles had that thing so close to the edge... scary!! So, we moved her to the floor, that way the kids could look at her all they wanted! When Jeremy took our little bun-bun home tonight, Julles cried and cried saying, "Mommy, bring back my bun-bun!!!" Jonathan told me last night, "don't even think about it Jamie!!" I told him I didn't want a bunny! He told me I had put the nix on him wanting to get a bird, so I couldn't get a bunny!! I don't want to have to change diapers and a bunny cage!! But, the girls really would love a little bunny of thier own... but not for now!!!

This is Jeremy and little Bun-bun!! I will let you know when he finally decides what he is going to name her! It will be good for him to have something that he has to give so much love and attention to. Even though she is not ours, it was still fun having a cute little friend around the house! However, I am not going to miss the fact that she is a VERY messy eater. She would hop into her food bowl and start digging in her food, looking for a certain morsel, and kick with her back legs anything that was in her way... landing on my kitchen floor!!! We took her outside tonight to hop in the grass, and she got a little too confident and tried to run away, so we took her back in!!! But, isn't she just the cutest???

Memory Lane...

This is the picture I was going to put up on my Father's Day post, but my dad couldn't find it in all his pictures. Well, he called me today and let me know that he found it and was emailing it to me. So, this is a picture of he and I raking leaves. We had this huge tree in our front yard that covered our yard and other's in the fall. We always had fun raking the leaves into a pile and then he'd let me run and jump in them. We got to be quite the pro's at these leaves by the time we moved.

I'm lovin my dad's glasses, and my super un-cute short hair! Don't ya just love the late 80's/ early 90's? Thanks dad for sending me this great memory, I am glad to have it for my own box of photo's!

Food for thought...

These are some of Jonathan's mom's recipes that she used to make all the time. They are a favorite of our family, and we have had them for dinner this week. She grew up in Kentucky and has left a lot of her recipes with us. It is a great way to remember her!! I thought I would share some of her goodness. Now, these are definatly not figure friendly recipes, but homey and tastey indeed!

Homemade Baked Macaroni and Cheese

2 1/2 c. cooked elbow mac
2 T. butter
3 T. flour
1 t. salt
2 1/2 c. milk
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

In a sauce pan, melt butter, add flour and cook for a few minutes. Add milk and salt to make white sauce. After the mixture has boiled, add 1 c. cheese to the sauce mixture. Mix until cheese is melted and incorporated. Place Mac in a 9x13 pan, pour the sauce over top and then sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees uncovered for 25 minutes.

This is great as a side dish or a main dish served with veggies or a salad.

**************************************************************************************
Shirley's Marvolous Meatballs

2 lbs. ground beef
1 c. bread crumbs (or 2 slices of bread torn, or in a food processer)
1 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. garlic powder
1 egg
1/2 c. apple sauce (don't use the kind w/cinnamon)
4 small can's tomato sauce

In 2- 9x13 pans, pour one small can of tomato sauce in the bottom of each pan. Mix the meat mixture, and make large meatballs (I use my ice cream scooper), place in the sauce, and then pour another small can of sauce on top of the meatballs in each pan. This recipe usually makes 24 large meatballs. Bake at 350 degrees, for 1 hour. When they are done, you can serve them as is, or you can add them to spaghetti sauce.

These are great with Spaghetti and Meatballs or sandwiches with crusty bread and melted cheese.

(I know it sounds wierd to have applesauce in with meat, but... it doesn't taste the same without it!! Trust me!) Julles can eat three or four of these huge things!

**** I hope you all enjoy these recipes, if you try them... let me know what you think! ****

I know it's only June...

and school doesn't start until August! But, I am proud to say that I have gotten our Fall Semester of Joy School planned out. Our group lost our leader, who was a joy school verteran, and we just followed her way last year. This year, we are on our own. Last year, we were just kind of thrown into it, not being very prepared... so this year I am making sure that we are as prepared as we can be. I went through and figured out what day's the school district will be out, and got our day's off coordinated. I figured out days for school, and things like that. Now all we have to do is find one more teacher, and we will be good! We are going to have a meeting soon to figure out what lesson's we are teaching and things like that!

I am sooo excited for this new school year to start. I love teaching these cute kids, and this year... Julles get's to go to school as well. We are doing it three days a week, and I don't know what I am going to do when it is not my turn to teach, and I have so much time alone! I am going to have to find something fun to do. Oh what fun!!!

Oh how lovely is the morning!!!

Today, I woke up and it was COLD in my house!! Yeah!!! I have been trying not to turn on the A/C and just keep the blinds closed and the fan's on, then at night, open the window's. However, on sunday... we almost got heat stroke, INSIDE!!! It was 89 in our house. That is not right, it was hotter in our house than outside. So, we turned the air on and waited, and waited. It didn't ever cool down. The same thing on monday, waiting and waiting. So, I was talking to my handy sister, and she said that we should change our air filter. I didn't know you should change them... now I do. So yesterday, I purchased two air filters, came home and changed it, and it was DIRTY!!! But, I am glad I did... my A/C works great now!!! Oh how happy I was this morning to turn the air up, cause it was sooo cold.

Thanks Stace for giving me the courage to do this without having my husband do it! She does everything herself, from changing out her dishwasher, to changing faucet's and air filters. I learn so much from you, Stacey and I appreciate you being a W-O-M-A-N!!!! You are a hero in my eye's!!! Oh, and my family thanks you deeply... now there will be no more comments like, "Mommy, it is soooo hot!"

Happy Father's Day to my dad! (a day late)

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy!! He has been my daddy, my friend, and my hero! I love him more than life itself!! I am so blessed to have him in my life and am grateful that I was sent down to him and my mom. He was tough at all the right times and a softy at all the right times! He survived all the grey hairs he got while I was in high school, and did it with a smile!
When I was little, he was always more of a brother, than a dad. We would play and play. He would get down on the floor with me and we would play Sesame Street (you know the little houses with the little people with the wooden heads), and we would be entertained for hours playing water guns out on the front porch. He would always give me the advantage, and I would usually soke him to the bone. He taught me the love of cooking, and we would do little cooking shows in the kitchen and he did the best Julia Childs voice I have ever heard. He is always willing to help us when we need it, and is always there for us. He has a great love for his family. He is a fabulous Grandpa, and all the grandkids think so. He makes us laugh like crazy!
Happy Father's Day to my bestest Daddy!!! I love you!

My poor dead trees...

We have these three pine trees in our backyard up on some landscaping rocks. The people we are buying our house from planted them two years ago. Well, I am thinking they aren't doing so well... what do you think? We are going to have all three of them pulled. We are going to put in some shrubs. These people went a little pine tree happy, we have like 10 pine type trees in our yard.

This little one doesn't have any needles on it anymore. It died in the fall, but the landscapers couldn't get it out until the summer. So, it is going some time soon! The landscaper's are the ones who placed this tree, not the other people!

This is a giant tree, and the top and the bottom are dead, the middle sure is pretty and green! The other big one, is all brown up the middle of the tree. It will make me happy to get rid of the two big ones, because they are not placed right anyway! The little one though was really cute and I liked where they put it!

Honey, Bee's, and Bears!!

While Beene and Julles were watching The Bee Movie, Beene came to me and asked me some silly things. This is the conversation we had:

Beene: Mom, do I like honey?

Me: No, baby it isn't your favorite!

Beene: Do bee's like honey?

Me: Yes they do!

Beene: Do we have any honey?

Me: yes we do...

Beene: Can you put some in a bowl, and let me put it outside for the bees, so they can have a snack?

Me: Oh sweety, they make their own honey!

Beene: How about for the bears??

Me: We don't want any bears in our yard, do we?

Beene: Mom, we need to share! They are proably very hungry!

Anyone for PIE?

Jason is in the marching band at school, and loves it. Anyway... he came to us two weeks ago with a flier for the marching band fundraiser. "Pies just in time for Father's Day" is what it read. So, we told him we'd buy one or two. Well, Jonathan let me know on Monday that I needed to get a check to Jason for 5 pies!! I asked him why he got so many, and he said... "Jenny ordered 4 and I had to get more than she did!" So, yesterday our 5 pies came to the door and into our already packed full freezer. Now, we have a blueberry, peach, cherry, apple, and strawberry pie in the freezer if anyone needs to drop by for a snack... I can just pop it in the oven and it will be ready in 35 minutes!!

Strike a pose!!!

So, the girls and I took advantage of the nice weather and had a little photo shoot!! They were very funny, and picked their own poses!! The following are the pics that they picked to keep!

Beene wanted to do an "Ariel" pose, and so this is what one of those looks like!! Incase you were wondering! But, she does look beautiful!!!
Julles opted not to do the "Ariel" pose, and did this one instead. I think I'll call this one the "I'm cute" pose.
This is a favorite one of the two of them together to date!! I love how they posed together!

Chip injury!!

The other day I was snacking on some of my yummy sun chips, and I got jabbed by one in the back of my throat. It hurt pretty bad when it happend, but I thought it would go away!!! I was wrong! Have you ever gotten a sore in the back of your throat??? OUCH!!! I feel like I have strep without all the sick feelings. It kills me to swallow... ANYTHING!! I have been downing Chloroseptic, and the taste is nasty... so I went to the pharmacy and asked my trusty pharmascist, Darwin, and asked him what else I could use. He told me to get Baby Orajel, and stick a q-tip with some of it on it, down my throat and hold it there. That tastes bad too, but works much better!!! It feels really wierd to have a numb throat, it scared me at first... but was well worth it! I never thought I would be using Orajel on myself, just my babies!

My new purses!!

So, I went to the party on thursday and had a really hard time deciding! Wow, she brought like 100 bags with her and they were all so stinkin cute, I carried like 5 around with me until I decided. I didn't want anyone to take the ones that I liked! I only bought one, but I ended up winning the drawing... so I ended up with two, really cute, fun bags!!! Here they be!! I really love them. Jonathan doesn't love them so much, because they are so different from my leather purses I have always had, but I don't care! I love them, and that is all that matters. She had so many cute fabrics and designs, I could have bought like 5 or 6 of them. I have a friend that did just that! She left with 5 bags and then came back a little bit later with her husband to get one for her mother in law for her birthday!

This was my "purchase" purse, and it is big and has lots of pockets on the inside for lots of fun things. I can use it as a purse and (I swore I would never do this, before I had kids, but) a diaper bag. My sister's used to tell me, "you'll understand when you have kids" and I just didn't believe them.

This was my "winner" purse. I really like this one too!! It is shorter than the other one, and only has one pocket on the inside and then one on the outside! I didn't get this one until friday, so I already had my other one packed up like 15 minutes after I got home from the party! So, I guess I'll have to switch them around from time to time! These cute things are washable as well!

Our Home...

I have been asked by a few people to post a picture of our home. So, this is one that I took today. I had to wait until our lawn had been mowed and the weeds pulled and out of the way!
We live on a street called Grandview Drive, because we are supposed to have a grand view of the valley... but you have to go one more street down to get that view of Cache Valley. However, we do have a beautiful view of the mountains in our backyard! This is the mountain behind our house. We have a great mountain breeze at night and we haven't had to turn the air on more than a few days so far! Anyway... this is the place we call home! We love it and hope to be here for a long time!

Attention, Attention!!!

OUR BEENIE CAN RIDE HER BIKE!!!!! Last year for her birthday, she got a princess bike that she had been asking and asking for all year long. She was very specific that she wanted a princess bike with a princess basket on it!! Last summer, she didn't get the peddle thing down, so we didn't push it! Her little friend Kenadee could do it last year, and this year she said she wanted to ride with her. The bummer was that when we got her bike out this year, it had two flats. We couldn't get the holes patched, so we had to buy new tubes. As soon as Jonathan got them pumped up and the bike back together, she was very excited to give it a try. It took some major practicing, and I am sure that I will have a sore back tomorrow from bending down to hold onto the handlebars. She kept saying, "I can't do it!" and I would tell her, "yes, you can... you just have to practice and practice... you will do it!" Then she said really loud, "I WILL DO IT!!" and off she went! She didn't need my help too much, and was cruising. She likes to look down at her feet, and not watch where she is steering, so I had to keep reminding her, but... she got it by the time we were done! She said that her legs were getting tired and they were feeling wobbly! I can't believe my baby is big enough to ride her bike on her own! I LOVE HER!!! Here are some photo's of her big day!

Beenie and her princess bike! Ready to ride!

My big girl peddeling! She did great!

She got a little frusterated sometimes that the peddles couldn't peddle by themselves. She kept saying, "Come on dumb peddles, go by yourself". She didn't quite understand!

"Look at me mom, I'm a big girl!!" She had perma grin!

Fun Purses!!!

Tomorrow night, I am going to my friend Keri's home for a galpal purse party! I am way excited because Keri went to one of these last month and got a super cute bag, that I am totally inlove with!!! I am putting her site on my blog because she has such cute stuff, she has things from small bags, medium bags, big bags, diaper bags, and a giant tote! These are all handmade, and I think I am really going to like them.
Here is a link to her site, she is based here in Cache Valley, but I think you can order online as
I can't choose between these two! Which would you choose? These are just a glimpse of how cute her bags are!
The Megan or The Judi

I am proud to announce...

That Jillian Sadie Johnson now know's how to fold her own shirts. She has been my little shadow lately, wanting to do everything that I am. Today, I was folding one of my massavely huge loads of laundry, and she wanted to help... So, she sorted the stuff into piles, her's, Julles, mine and Jonathan's. Then, she put all her shirts in a pile, her panties, and her pants. I started folding Julles stuff, and she begged me to teach her how to do it. So, I took a shirt and she took a shirt and I showed her how to do it twice, she then proceeded to fold all of her little shirts. She says that she wants to help me again tomorrow, so maybe this time I'll take pictures.

I sure hope that she is as willing to help me do these chores, when she is older and has to do them. She does a great job now!!!

Some of my favorite things as of today!!

The following are just some things that I have been totally LOVING the past week! This is kinda random, and this post has everything to do with food, but I LOVE them just the same!

My friend brought a bag of these yummy chips to our playgroup last week. I thought it strange to bring salsa flavored chips to share with kids... but, the kids ate the entire bag. So, a few days later I went to Subway and got some to eat with my sandwich, and I LOVE THEM!!! Not only do I love them, my kids ate almost the whole bag, leaving me with just a few. We bought a big bag, and they are almost gone. Beene likes to put shredded cheese on them and eat them as a snack. MIGHTY TASTEY!!!

So, since I get migraines like mad, I have to be careful with what I drink. Therefore no caffiene for me! My favorite drink of all time is coke, and so this is my new favorite! I am also glad that I like this because I don't let my kids drink caffiene either, so they can now share my love for coke!! Now, if only resturaunts would start to carry it, that would be great!

This is a PLUOT, it is a mix between a plum and an apricot, they are SUPER yummy and I love when I can find them. Usually it is a summer/fall fruit you can find. They come in different colors and sizes, and they are delish! I love them, my kids love them, and my husband loves them. I got a huge box of them at Sam's Club for only $6! We have almost eaten them all and we've only had them a few days!

So, there you have it, my fav's for the week! You might want to try them if you haven't, you may just add a new treat to your likings!

Yumm-o!!

Today, my husband took me to my favorite place for lunch. I hadn't eaten anything for breakfast, so I was nice and hungry! He took us to Costa Vida for some yummy yummy mexican food! If I could eat like this everyday in Mexico, I would be there tomorrow! They are having a customer appreciation thing where you can get a Big Kahunna Burrito for only $5. They are HUGE!!! But, they are delicious at the same time. So, it was a Big Kahunna lunch for me, and I am stuffed. For those of you who have never had one of these gigantic things, it has your choice of meat, beans (but I omit them), rice, cheese and red or green sauce. Then, you can get it smothered, which for me is the only way to roll. Green sauce topped off my yummy lunch. Jonathan was pretty bumbed though! NO PICO TODAY!! was what he was told as he was getting to the end of assembly line. They didn't want to chance anyone getting sick because of the salmonilla poisoning. The manager came around and asked him how his taco was without the pico, and he told him it was managable, but that he'll be glad when it is back. Usually, he gets his pico and mine! So, he was doublely upset! The kids love that place because they get rice and beans and Beene gets a quesadilla, which she loves. Today, they gave them a sopapilla, and it was most delicioso!

Tuna butta anyone?

So, yesterday Julles was getting the cheese bucket out of the fridge(I keep a cool whip container of shredded cheese in the fridge at all times), for the 12th time that day. I was frosting cookies for my nursery lesson and heard her ask, "Mom, who is this?" When she says "who" she means "what", and so without looking at her I said, "do you mean what is this?" and she said, "Is this tuna butta?" At first I didn't even grasp what she said, I looked over at her and she had the jar of Miracle Whip in her hands. I asked her to tell me again what it is, and she said, "This is tuna butta!" I guess she thinks I only use miracle whip for tuna, so that is what she associates it with. So, now you have a new name for your good ol' handy jar of Miracle Whip... TUNA BUTTA!!!

I love the things that kids come up with! They amaze me with the things that they put together. I love how thier little brains work.

Charlie bit my finger - again !

I love this video, and we watch it lots with cousins. Today, I was working, and heard my girls saying these exact words... Beene was the bitee, and Julles was the biter!

Waaaaah!

So, this little video is of Beenie when she was just a peanut, and it describes in a nutshell how we are feeling about the weather disappointment. Since the weather has decided not to cooporate with our Zoo outing scheduled for tomorrow, it has been put on hold!!! Sad!!!

10 years... really?

So, I was sitting at my nieces graduation and the memories of high school flooded my memory. Sitting in the Marriot Center, thinking I had only been there 10 years earlier. WOW!! Oh the fun I had in High School, lots of friends, being grounded, lots of activities, food, and just plain teenager times!! I went through my album of pictures, and realized that Kim has most of the pictures of our fun times with friends. She started getting doubles of everything after high school. But, I had a few... so this slide show is just a glimpse of life from the 9th grade until the summer of 98'. I also threw a picture of the band that we were groupies for, that we loved to death. We were at every show we could possibly attend. They ROCKED!!!

Way back wednesday!!!

I decided to put up a picture of me from about 10 years ago. This is me and my friend Kim. We were inseperable through our teen years. Every year we would get one of these pictures taken together, in that little shop in the mall that made key rings or tee shirts. This was one that she postsed on Facebook, as a fun little memory. So, thanks Kim, I saved it to my computer. Oh the memories...

Cloudy Mountains!

So, these are pictures I took standing on my back porch. I live right up close to the game line of the mountain, so I have them in my backyard you could say. It is dark and stormy today, a nice break from the hot weather we have been having! I just thought it looked cool how low the clouds are, and how bright the yellow is on the flowers. Sorry, it is a little blurry, but you can get the idea.

How do you eat your sandwich cookies???

The newly opened package... not too new anymore!!!

The cookies with the frosting all scraped off, and in a line!

Mmmmmm... frosting anyone???

This is what I found after Beene and Julles had asked me for some cookies. I had put the package out on the counter, and opened it for the first time for them. I was in my room cleaning things up, and heard some clanking like a spoon in a bowl or something and just brushed it off, and then the girls came running in yelling, "mommy come and see what we made!!" I went in the kitchen with them and this is what they showed me. Beene doesn't like the cookie, just the cream and Julles likes the cookie and the cream, but was finishing off the cookies that Beene didn't want to eat! What fun they had while I was busy! YUMMY!!!

Have you ever sweat so bad, it runs down your face??

Well, I haven't until TODAY!! Jason came over to weed and mow. Our lawn is the only lawn on the street that hasn't been cut yet, and you CAN tell. Every day he has been scheduled to mow, it has rained! We have a serious weed problem because the people who did the landscaping, didn't put in a weed barrior!!! DUMB!! Since we live on a mountain basically, we get all the mountain "flowers" and weeds. They have taken over my flower beds in the backyard REALLY bad. So, since it was supposed to rain today, Jason just pulled weeds. I really wanted a lot done back there, so I decided to help! Well, some of the weeds went up to my waist, and were super hard to get out of the ground. I found a little pointed shovel and dug them all up. Let's just say that my legs were shaking so bad, and now they feel like Jello. I kept having to wipe my forehead because the sweat was coming down so hard. Really, I don't think I have ever sweat like that before. Not even during child birth!! So, after 2 showers today, I think I am clean now! It started to rain while Jason was putting all my weeds that I had pulled in the garbage can, so he didn't get all of it done. Hopefully on friday, he can come and mow and finish the weeds. Our lawn is almost embarassing, how long it is. We live in between two people that are fanatics about there lawn and so ours really sticks out like a sore thumb!!! Jason really has a phobia of spiders, and keeps telling us we need to spray our yard because when he pulls a weed, little spiders go everywhere. While I was out there, I would hear, "Ahhh.... stomp, stomp, stomp!!" Beene kept saying, "mom, I am sooo big... I am helping Jason pull weeds because he needs lots of help!!" Julles was busy learning to peddle on her Dora bike!!! They were both very proud of themselves!! I too am proud of myself for breaking a sweat like I did. It actually felt really good, to be out there doing that, but wow... the waterworks were just a commin!! To those of you who love to do yard work, I give you applause, I don't think I could do that all the time.

The frusteration of a 3 year old...

I had a conversation with Julles today and this is how it went.

She threw a rock on the tile, like it was a bouncy ball and I said,
"Please don't throw hard things on the tile, it might break!"

She then replied,
"Ok mom!!"

Then a few minutes later she went stompping to the couch and yelled:
"I am mad, mad, mad mom!"

I asked her why she was mad, mad, mad and she replied,
"because my rock didn't break!! It made me mad, mad, mad!!"

Oh if only that were the only frusteration we had, that would be a good life!!

Joseph has left the nest...

It is hard to believe that our Jospeh is 18 and has moved out on his own. He just finished his first year of college and we thought he'd live with us until we kicked him out. However, he has grown up and has decided to go and live with some of his good friends. He's been telling us since March that he was moving out, and it just kept getting pushed back. Well, yesterday he came and got his stuff, and moved into his new place. We hope he does well at his new house. It is going to be a shock to him that he has to budget and things, but he'll make it. If not, we'll be here to catch him. It is going to be wierd now, me having to clean the basement, and the bathroom, and now I have an extra room to dust. It was great having him live with us for as long as he did, august to now. Maybe somesday he'll be back here with us, maybe not. I am amazed at how he has matured and grown. He is a completely different kid than he was when Jonathan and I got married. We are so proud of the fact that he is his own person and doesn't let anyone else determine who he is or will be.

We are going to the zoo...

I am so excited because I am taking my girls to the zoo for the first time this week. My friend Keri and I got a neighborhood zoo day together. We are going to have like 6 mom's and 12 kids. It is going to be so fun. We are going to have a little picnic when we first get there, and it is just going to be a day where the kids have new experiences. I am so taking my camera and will be taking pictures every chance I get.(when I am not keeping my kids from getting into cages)

Beene wants to be able to touch the giraffes and pet the lions. I told her we can't touch those, but that I think there is a petting zoo there. Jonathan told her that the giraffes stink really bad, and she told him, "that's ok, I'll just hold mom's hand, like I did at the cow farm!" However, she does not want to drink out of the lion drinking fountain. I remember thinking that was so cool when I was little, she thinks it is scary. We'll see about that when we get there. Julles just wants to see penguins. That is what she is most excited about.

I also am excited to take the kids on the Zoo Train. I think they will love it, I remember I did when I was little. I loved seeing all the animals from a different view point. Of course the favorite of this train ride is the chance to rest your feet. I am sure we are going to be very tired. Let's hope for nice, not too hot weather, and no sunburns. Here's to the Hogle Zoo and the excitement it brings to me to get out of Logan, to see a zoo that has more than just birds. We have a little zoo in Logan that has birds, and little turtles, deer, elk,and two monkey's. But, I need my kids to experience a real zoo.
