Cinderella, Cinderella...

Yesterday was the girls best friend Kenadee's 4th birthday party!! Keri did such a great party, the kids had a ton of fun. It was a princess party, and not like any other princess party I have ever been to. The girls all wore a princess dress, Beene was Mulan, and Julles was Cinderella. There were princess cupcakes and a very special PRINCESS surprise. After opening presents, and eating cupcakes and playing a little, Keri had the girls sit on the lawn and she started reading the Cinderella story. When she got to the part where the step sister's yell, "CINDERELLA", the girls heard a voice say, "Did someone call my name??" and around the corner came a real Cinderella. We thought the girls were going to scream and run toward her, but they did the opposite. They were all in shock! Their faces were priceless. Cinderella learned all their names and spoke very lady like.

She played "Princess, Princess, Ogre"(duck, duck, goose) with them, and each girl got a chance to run around the circle. She brought color pages for them to do while she did each little girls "princess" make-up. Then, she taught them about Princess manners, and how to hold up their dresses and point their toes. After they learned their manners, Kenadee got a special princess crown placed on her head by Cinderella herself. She brought them all a cute star wand, bubbles, and a ring. The girls were so in awe of her. Of course we had a photo shoot with all the girls with this beautiful princess. When it came time for her to leave... the girls all followed her out to the front yard, they wanted to see her carriage. She didn't want them to know that really her carriage was a red honda civic, but she told them that they couldn't see her carriage, it was magic and that the horses get scared, so she has to go by herself. They bought that, and came to the backyard all talking about how cool it was that she had come.

This cute girl that was Cinderella used to work for Disney World, and just came back to Logan and opened a Princess Party business. She dresses up as Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel. She plays games with them, sometimes will read stories, and does thier make-up. She also brings the party favors, and does pictures. That was the best $65 ever!!! Thanks Keri for a great party!!

Julles getting her make-up done!!

Beene checking her make-up job out!! She loved this part!!!

Cinderella and all the little princesses!!! The birthday girl got to sit on her lap!!

Beene and Cinderella, she thought that this was extremely cool!!!

Julles thought she was pretty cool, they had twinner dresses on, and she was totally in love!!!

Maybe next year, we'll have to have Ariel or Belle come to the girls party!!! Beene keeps telling me, "I didn't know Cinderella was a real girl mom, I thought she was just a cartoon. We are very special that she came to see us, huh mom??"

Back to School!!!

Oh happy day!! Today was the first day of Joy School!! The girls have been sooo excited and on the count down. This morning, they woke and were very ready to go!!! They had to wear skirts... since that is all I can get Beene to wear these days, and Julles just likes to do everything like her sister!!! They also got to take something for show and tell. Beenie took her "minnie's" (her minnie mouse collection) and Julles took her beenie baby giraffe. She is going to tell them about seeing the giraffe's at the zoo, and that they were stinky!!!

They are going to be gone three days a week, for three hours!!! I don't teach until november/december. I don't know what I am going to do with myself!! Maybe my house will become immaculate!! Who knows.... but here are some fun pics of the first day at Carrie Kirk's home.

My two little beauties in thier "mermaid" poses... this was done by Beene's request!

Julles on her very 1st day of school!!! Don't you just love her hair???

Beene and her minnie purse, that has her other minnie mouse inside.

Our Joy School Class of 2008, 1st day of school at Caleb's house : (l-r) Caleb, Cara (caleb's sister), Abby, Julles, Jillian, Ellie, and Isaac.

Carrie was talking to them about who was going to have what job for the day... that is the favorite part of the morning. They have different jobs like, the weather, calendar, flag (they are learning the pledge of allegence this year), teacher's helper, snack helper, and prayer. They were all very excited to start this fun year of school.

I am sure that there will be many more pictures posted in the following months. We have lots of fun days planned. The first unit this year is Joy of The Body. Next week, they are going to Carrie's mom's farm in Idaho, and talking about good foods for your body. They get to pick their own veggies for lunch, and ride a horse if they'd like. We also have some great classes on Good Touch/Bad Touch coming in the next few weeks. In October, we are having Joy of the Earth, and they get to do some way fun field trips for that as well!!

Old friends, food, and laughs...

Saturday night I went to my 10 year high school reunion. It was so great to see my friends, and we had some great laughs. This picture is of me and my cute friends Kim (in the middle), and Emberly, who was very uncomfortable by this time of the night due to being 8 months pregnant. We were in FBLA together, and had great times in high school! It was fun to see who I could remember just by faces, and to see people that we used to have the hots for, and how they have changed.

We all chatted, and there was lots of hugging and "oh my gosh" comments all over. We had a nice dinner and then our student body president read out some questions and if it pertained to you, you got a prize. Well, I never win anything and because of my wonderful husband... I DID!! The question was like this: "Who here has the oldest spouse?" Jonathan was hoping that I would wait a minute or two to see who else would raise their hands, but instead... my arm flew up as soon as she finished the question. Of course I won, seeing that he is 42. What did I win you ask... an old black and white John Wayne movie called "The Alamo". We all got a good laugh about it and, Jonathan enjoyed that people told him that he didn't look 42 AT ALL!!! What did the youngest spouse win?? High School Musical 2!! I thought that was funny. I could have won for the most kids, and the oldest kid, but we decided that we wouldn't draw anymore attention to the whole age difference. They also did a raffle, and they did Class of 98 trivia, and I knew one of the answers... Why is it scary to me that I remembered our principal's middle initial... Vernon M Henshaw!! Wierd, and it made me feel funny that I knew it! But, whatever... right?? Also, do you remember you school song? I didn't even know if ours was like a fight song or a song song!! Kim Claybaugh Jonas... you lead a great chorus in our school song, it was nice to have a refresher!!
We all decided by vote that we will not have a 15 year, but a 20. Jonathan informed me that I would be going to that one on my own. He ended up having a great time, but said that even if his school reunion was held at the church down the street, he wouldn't go. So, it just isn't his thing. But, he did take me, and I was proud to be with him!!!
Thanks to Tim, Chelsie and Haley for making that night possible, I had a great time! Until the next reunion...

Little Women...

Let me just begin by saying I get approached about buying these eveytime I go to the store, but I always resist! However Jonathan is a big moosh ball and can't say NO to his two girls!!
So, what you are about to see, is purely the doing of thier daddy!!

They are 4 and 3 and have now worn press on nails!! Beene asks me all the time when we go to Macey's and I always tell her maybe for her birthday in a few years, thinking her nails were waaayyy to little for press on's. No... these are MADE for little fingers. They come with the sticky stuff already on them, so you don't have the papers to pull of or anything like that. Julles only wore hers long enough for me to take this picture. They are starting to do things that I didn't think little girs this age get into. I am wrong!! I have a feeling, they are going to be mini-me's and have a drawer full of press on's in every color by the time they are 12!! Then, when high school graduation comes, acrylics here they come!!!

Oh be still my stomach!!!

This morning, I made myself a yummy breakfast, since yesterday I slept in too late to have breakfast! From my tastefully simple party I had, I got this yummy Cinnamon Muffin Melt Mix. I bought it because I LOVE MUFFINS!!! So, I made them, and added some chopped apple. I thought that you put the cinnamon inside the muffins, but you don't!!! It's even better!! Let me take you down memory lane for a moment... When my sister Kristy her family lived with us, my brother-in-law Chad used to make these delicious Apple Scibbers(I don't know if I am spelling this right or not!!), they are like apple cinnamon muffins and then you take them out of the pan and cover them in melted butter and then roll them in cinnamon sugar! Well, they were gone as fast as he could make them. After I got married, I called him to find out the recipe for these tastey treats... he told me NO!! He said that they were a family secret! So, I have been drooling for them for years! Well, to make a long story short... these muffins are almost exactly the same, but if you promise to not tell Chad... BETTER!!! You bake the batter in the muffin pan, without the paper's, then you let them cool 10 minutes in the pan. You then melt 1 stick of butter and cover the muffins in it and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Oh my... I was in heaven!! I had to limit myself, but have some put away for me to have tomorrow!!!

This is the first of many products that I am going to be trying... and I'll keep you posted on how they are!!!

Happy 28th Birthday to ME!!!

Well, I have now officially turned 28. I say officially because since I was born in 1980, I can easily figure out how old I am by what year it is! So, since January... I have been 28! But now, I really am!

I had a great day yesterday!! Jonathan had us all stay up past midnight on tuesday night so that they could tell me Happy Birthday! That was fun... however, Beene didn't quite make it that long, she was snoozin' way before that! I woke up and looked at the clock and I had slept in until 10:30!! WOW!! Even better... the kids didn't wake up until 11. I had a voicemail from my mom, singing me our special birthday song, that I cannot miss hearing. She had a meeting and wanted to get her singing in before it started!! One of my cute neighbors brought me some yummy treats and a card, all before I got out of my p.j's!! Jonathan wanted to take the kids shopping with him for my gift, and Julles didn't want to go... so she stayed home with me and went on a walk. While Jonathan and Beene were gone, he asked her what they should get for me. This was how their conversation went:
Daddy: Beenie what should we get for mommy?

Beene: umm... pink diamonds, pink jewels, a pink ring, a pink tiarra, a wedding vail, and a wedding dress. Oh... and running shoes! And daddy, I have to say "surprise" k!

Daddy: How about we go look at flowers and cakes?

Beene: ok, do I get to walk?

So, they came home with some beautiful roses, that Beene had picked out and she walked in the door yelling, "SURPRISE MOMMY!!" She was carrying them in the house, and water was going everywhere, but she was so proud to give them to me!! They also picked me out a beautiful cake, to go with the rose idea!! Then she picked out princess wand candles for me to "make a wish" with. It was all very cute and well thought out!!

Then, my cute family took me to dinner at Black Stone for some steak. This is a new resturaunt in Logan, that is very upscale for a city like this. I am glad I tried it, but I don't think I'll ever go back. After dinner, we went and got Jonathan's glasses in to be fixed, and then did some shopping. Before going home, we went for rootbeer floats. After our little treat, and getting things put away, the girls and I headed up to the park behind our house for a neighborhood gathering. I got up there, and they all started singing "happy birthday" to me. That was very nice and way unexpected. I got to spend the evening chatting with great friends and getting to know people that I don't talk to very often. It was very fun. Then, we went home and had cake with Jonathan. Our night ended with "Camp Rock" a movie by Disney Channel with the Jonas Brothers. What fun I had with my little girls dancing and singing along with the movie. Jonathan has had more fun, but he enjoyed watching Beene and Julles being little girls!!

I had lots of phone calls and lots of emails, with wishes of a good day and year. I recieved cards and gifts from great friends. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful family and great friends that care for me. Yesterday, I welled up a few times just at the fact that people thought of me on my birthday! Thanks for being in my life!

Now, tomorrow I get to go and get my hair cut and colored, thanks to Keri and Kenadee and Jonathan. Then, on saturday... before my big 10 year reunion, I get to go shopping with my mom and dad! How fun, I love birthday weekends!! The boys are also coming home saturday from thier family reunion, and that will be fun to see them on Sunday... WE HAVE MISSED THEM BADLY!!! My niece Sarah will also be here on Sunday for her first away for school dinner!! The first of many to come!

Here's to another great year!!!

The concensous is in...

So, a gentleman who apparently knows his snakes, has informed me that the snake that is no longer with us in called a bull snake!! He let me know that I didn't improve my rat/mouse problem in killing this creepy guy!! I don't have a rat problem, or a mouse problem, so I don't feel bad!! He also told me that it isn't harmful... but, wouldn't you do the same if you had kids that play in your grass, and your neighbor's grass? I would have Jonathan do it again in a heartbeat!! No question!!
The Bull Snake!! Poor little bunny had no chance!! I wonder how big this snake will be after he gorges himself???
My bloody snake!!
I finally disposed of it on Saturday morning, I figured he was officially dead since he had sat there over night and did not move. He is now in the empty lot across the street, maybe he will be a tastey treat for a bird or something.

Does anyone know...

What kind of snake this is?? I just think its ugly and creepy!!

I was walking home from checking on my Keri's dog, and saw this little creepy guy sticking his head out of my neighbors lawn. I waited to see if it would slither away, instead it just sat there...I was not about to walk by it, so I crossed the street over one house and then back across to my house. I ran inside and told Jonathan to come out and kill it. (sorry to those of you who don't like that kind of thing, but I was freaked out!) Jonathan HATES snakes, so he was more than abliged!! I went out on the porch to watch and make sure he knew where it was. He found it and the snake had a date with our big square tipped shovel. He hit it and it flew in the air. He hit it a second time and it flew up again!! It started on the park strip, and ended up in the gutter. The mail lady was watching it from her little mobile, and she told him he was her hero!! She said that she was worried that Jonathan was charging out after me with that shovel!! HA HA!! He left it there to finish dying, and I was going to go out later to throw it away. I went out with my camera, and snapped a few pics of it an hour later... IT WAS STILL ALIVE!!! He threw his head at me, but seeing that he was kinda cut in two pieces, that was a little hard. Notice the blood on the gutter???

I know its not a rattler, but... there was one in Keri's yard last week! For some reason we have had too many snake encounters in our neighborhood this summer!! CREEPY!!! Last summer we didn't see any! It is still out there, 6 hours later...I can't tell if it is dead or if it is playing dead so it can get me when I pick it up!! (with the shovel of course!!) The tail got pushed down the storm drain... I kicked it while I was walking and I didn't see it until it slithered its way down the hole.

My Beene is fasinated with it, and keeps wanting me to take her outside to see it. She looks at it for a second and then says quickly, "Lets go back in, K mom!!" What a daring child I have!!

Boo!!!

This is how my morning went:
-Wake up at 7:30, finish cleaning up the family room and sweep up the play-doh from under the table.
-Calm Julles down, who woke up from a bad dream of someone taking away her bunny... which I didn't know what bunny she wanted... Beene's bunny that she got for Easter a few years ago.
-Start to get ready for my 10:15 hair appointment, to enjoy 3 hours of no kid time, and get pampered!!
-Got a call from Keri (who does my hair), saying that my appointment wasn't until NEXT friday!!

Don't you just hate it when you look forward to something all week, and then find out that you wrote it on your calendar the wrong day!!! So, on goes my day of laundry and cleaning!! But, I guess its ok, since next saturday is my 10 year class reunion, and now I'll look extra spiffy!!

Childrens Museum...

After our long day at the zoo, we immediatly went to the Children's Museum to meet my sister Kristy and her little girl Katie. All her other kids and her husband are all at scout camp and girls camp. So, we had a girls outing with them. It was fun and total spur of the moment. Thank you Kristy and Katie for meeting up with us and having such a fun time!!!

Here are some favorite pics I took!!

Here are Cowgirl Beene and Cowgirl Katie!! They looked so cute on this!! I just realized now, that Julles didn't have a turn!!

Julles was putting all the eggs in one box!! There were a ton of eggs, and by the time she left that spot, all of them that she could reach were in the bottom middle box!! She had a blast!!

This is a real life flight helicopter that is for the kids to play in!! They had a blast in it, and probably played in here the longest! There was an air traffic control tower, and all. It was very cool!

They loved the kitchen and the grocery store as well. They could have stayed there and played all day long. We had to hit the store again before we left! We thought it was very funny that they started giving us 30 minute warnings for closing, after that one, they did a 12 1/2 minute warning!! We thought that was funny!!!

We left Gateway at 6, and got home at 9. We had to stop in Brigham City to eat some dinner or I was going to be sick!! So, we were gone for 12 hours!! We got lots of exercise, and lots of fresh air and our brains grew imensly!! What a fun day we had!! It was sure nice to come home to see Daddy though!! We missed him terribly!!

PAUSE MY MUSIC!!!

Julles singing Twinkle Twinkle!!

Beene singing her favorite songs!!

Friends, the Zoo, and fun!!

The girls and I went to the zoo yesterday with some friends from our neighborhood. It was my kids first time experiencing this place that I loved when I was a child. We started out in the morning, leaving our home at 9. We reached our destination at around 10:40ish. The first place we stopped was the bathroom, having two kidlets that are finally potty trained, we had to rush inside. Then, we met the rest of our party at the waterball. What a fun time we had, seeing all the animals, and I enjoyed seeing all the changes that have happend since I was there last. I loved all the new exhibits and the old things that brought back such good memories. No longer are the days of the big monkey swimming pool thing in the middle, and only having one place to eat at, and only one lion drinking fountain!! I was so glad we were able to get there this year before school starts. We ended our ZOOFARI at about 3:30, with ouchy feet and outside stinkiness on us. It ended up being a great day with the weather, it was a little cloudy, and it sprinkled on us a little, but we are glad that it wasn't scortching sun! Thanks to Keri and Stephanie for coming along with me and my kids, it was so much fun that our girls got to play together.

Here are a few favorite photo's from our adventure!!

Grace(she's kinda hiding behind her sister), Paige, Kenadee, Julles and Jillian at our meeting spot!! Why did we not know ahead of time that they could have been just as happy playing with this for 4 hours, than walking around the zoo??? We memorized the color of everyone's shirts, and that is how we kept count of them.

Our second stop was the ghost of the bayou!! I was so excited to see this, and really... he is just really ugly!! It smelled really bad in there, and that was the first thing all the kids commented on!! After talking with Beene tonight, I found out that she thought that it was just a statue. She still to this moment doesn't believe me that it is real!!

This boat is right outside the bayoo exhibit, and the kids automatically climbed in, almost insisting on a photo op!! It was really hard to get all of them to look at me at the same time!!

Next we stopped at the Elephant Encounter! This is a show where the keepers tell you about the animal and show it off. Well, this is the other elephant that wasn't getting shown. They only show one at a time, and they have a big gate and rocks and shrubbery and things to block it off. Well, this little gal was not enjoying not being on parade. She was trying to get out, and be seen. The girls kept looking at her and started waving. The next thing I know, she started waving wtih her trunk! It was very sweet!! I had to take a picture of her to give her some fame for the moment, seeing that everyone else was watching the other one!!

The penguins were the ONE thing Julles had to see!! So we did, and she was so excited... she ran the whole way up to them! However, she didn't stay long because it was probably the stinkiest place in the whole zoo!! Their water was a tad dirty!! But, they were super cute, and the girls loved them. Kenadee kept calling them Happy Feet!!

Of course we had to get a picture of them drinking from the Lion's mouth. This was a hard task to do, but we accomplished it as best we could. We got a picture of all the kids taking a drink. Does anyone else remember the lion drinking fountain being a tad different when we were kids, like more dark in his mouth?? I don't know why, but I think it is a different one!!

From Left to Right: Beene, Kenadee, Grace, Paige and some little girl that we don't know!! This is in an animal pen. They climed right in!! Julles did not want to participate!! These girls are so much fun, they had a blast together!

The Ape house adventure is next!! The girls had a blast with the fun size things they have. We got a picture of each girl in front of this huge gorilla!! They also have handprints inside and they loved that too, but were too busy running away from me to take any pictures!!

We had to get a picture of the kids by the big bronze Gorilla, since I think everyone I know who has been to the zoo this summer, who has a blog... has posted a picture of it. So, here are mine!!

We went on the train, which was a welcome break for our tired feet. We were about to buy tickets and this nice lady came and gave us 6 of our needed 8. She just gave them to us, and left before we could say thank you!! Is it just me, or was it MUCH longer when I was a kid. I think we were on and off in 5 minutes flat, including the loading and unloading part!! But, the kids faces were priceless! This is one of the two top favorites of the trip to the zoo for both of my girls. I couldn't get any pics of the train ride, but the memory of it is carved in my head!!
After the train, Stef and her kids left us, and we were about ready to go as well. The kids were begging to go one the merry-go-round... so we went for our last hoorah before we left!! The kids loved it, but you can't tell by the look on Julles face in this picture!! Beene rode on the kangaroo, and after three different ones, Julles ended up on the colorful froggy!! What can you say, she's 3!

After having a great day with friends, eating a picnic lunch and a drippy banana creamie, we said goodbye to the Hogle Zoo, until the next time!! This is a picture of the three amigos!! They are bestest buddies, and love to be with eachother!! Thanks again girls for going with us!! Ohh and my main little man baby William, who was a total trooper in his stroller, the whole time!!

Bumbles and Tastefully Simple...

Last Thursday my friend Keri and I hosted a combined party at her house! She did a Bumbles watch party and I did a catalog Tastefully Simple party. It worked out well since the TS food was the refreshments. I really like these products, they are really easy to make, and it doesn't take hardly any time at all! Here are a few of my favorite products of there's!

Beer Bread!! I had to get the Beer from Keri, since I don't own any!! So thanks Miss Keri or should I say... Mike!! But, it is some tastey bread!!! I was glad it was a big loaf, and that there were leftovers!!

Absolutely Almond Pound Cake... WOW!! I could have eaten this whole loaf by my lonesome!! It is quite the treat!!

Simply Salsa mix!! It comes as dried spices and you add it to a can of diced tomatoes, and you have sensational salsa!!

This is the product that sold me to TS, it is Spinach and Herb dip. You mix the seasonings with Mayo, Sour Cream and some cottage cheese and you have a super yummy dip for veggies or crackers!! MMMM.... I have been told that if you put some of the dry seasonings into your scrambled eggs, they taste like gourmet eggs from a 5 star resturaunt.

Since we had the Bumbles party at the same time, I had to get me one, I couldn't go home empty handed! They are really cute bracelet watches. You can interchange your watch face with different bands. They are hooked on by the same little guys that hook necklaces!! They are super cute and fun. It was really hard to choose. There were so many different styles to choose from, which is hard for me seeing I am so indecisive!! But, I finally came down to this cute yellow one, it is kinda chunky, but I love it!!! The face was $15 and the band was $30!

Once again, it was tons of fun getting to see friends and catch up with everyone!! It is amazing how fast time goes by and how much goes on in the mean time! Those of you who weren't able to make it, there will be a next time!! I think next month we are doing a modge podge party! FUN, FUN, FUN!!! I'll keep you posted!

Strong and Growing!!

My girlas went to the dr today for thier well checks! I love that I can take them in at the same time and get them out of the way! Yes, I should have taken them in May when there birthday's were here, but schedules just were to slammed!! But, here are my chica's stats as of today!!

Miss Jillian weighs in at a big 31 pounds, and 41 inches tall, and has 20/20 vision! She is in the 50% for height and 10% for weight! She is tall and skinny!!! She was slipping Julles the answers to the vision test!! :)

Miss Jullios comes in at 27 pounds, and 37 inches tall. She has gotten so much taller, it is amazing to me!! She also has 20/20 vision, probably with the help of her sister! She too is tall and skinny!! I never thought she would be labeled as "tall"!!
I love this picture of my two bundles of joy!! I just can't get enough of them!!! Can you??

Haircut Saturday!!

I was shocked to hear my hubby suggest that we all needed our hair done again!! This coming from the man, who didn't ever want to cut the girls hair! I guess he liked how Keri did the new cuts last time!!! So, Saturday we went to see Miss Keri and she cut their hair again! Julles got to go first this time, and she got to sit on the counter because she was too wiggly in the chair. Then she got to stand up while she finished up! Beene got to go last, and she was sooo excited to sit in the "cool chair". These are my girls with they new styles!

Beene with her "miss keri" pony... she will only let Miss Keri put a pony in her hair!! She actually leaves them in all day!!

We decided to go a little shorter than last time with Julles' hair. I love it, it makes my baby not look like a baby anymore. She looks so big to me now!! I took like 12 pics of her, and my camera has a bad delay on it, and so this is the only one where she was looking at me, and attempting to smile!!

Here is Julles with her hair not flippy! Isn't she quite the poser?? I don't have many pics of her NOT posing!! I think she looks so stinkin cute!! Beene refused to have her picture taken, she was busy watching a movie and eating popcorn!!

Jason also got his hair cut that night, his mom likes to cut his hair, but he HATES her to cut his hair. So, he called in a frantic need and said that it had to be cut by Saturday at 7. So off to the mall we went, with the girls sound asleep! He loves it and is ready to go to Marching Band Camp in Southern Utah! He left today and will be gone until Saturday morning, then the boys leave Satruday night for a family reunion for 10 days!! We will miss them badly!!
