Funny kid conversations...

The past week has been full of fun conversations at our house! Here are two of my favorite!

Conversation #1
Julles: Sowwy I dwawed on myself mommy (in her sweetest sorry voice)

( I look at her and she has written all over her legs and feet (top and bottom) with turquoise marker)

Mom: Oh wow, you have given yourself some nice too-tats (that is what they called tatoos when they were younger).

Julles: (she has kind of a New Yorker's accent at times... so use your imagination...) No mom, its not a too-tat, its MAWKA!!! (then she stomped off in a huff)

Converstaion #2
We had school at our house and the boys were playing with Lego's and Beene went over to see what they were doing...

Beene: What are you doing guys?

Caleb: Hello... you're GORGEOUS!!!!

Then Beene came running to me like she had just seen a ghost and hugged my legs.

Mom: Well, you are! That was very nice of him to say!

Beene: Mom, that really embarassed me!!! That was horrible!

My future Providence Panda!

Last night, I did something that I thought wouldn't come for a few more years atleast!!! I registered my little Beene for Kindergarten!! That is right... she is not my little baby Beene anymore.
She was a little apprehensive about going to the school yesterday for fear that she would have to start Kindergarten that day!! I told her that she didn't have to start until she was 5, and that seemed to calm her fears a little. When we got there, her eyes soaked up this giant building as we walked to the door to meet Keri and Kenadee.
She had her assessment, and I totally thought that the lady would come out and talk to me, telling me how she did... but all that happened was Beene coming out telling me that she got all the colors and she counted them all!! She also wanted to show me her "super" sticker that she got as well. The lady came out, and I thought... here she comes to tell me how smart my child is... and the words out of her mouth were... "Macie"!!! She didn't tell me a thing! Hmm... I know that she is very smart, and that she did well... but sometimes you just want to know that they are on target... am I right? Then, we were waiting not knowing if we were done yet, so Keri asked the secretary if we would be getting a letter telling us if they were a.m/p.m, and what teacher they would be getting, and she said that she wasn't sure what was going to happen this year. The school has a new principal this year, and has never started a new school year before, so it is up to him and how he wants to proceed! Organized, huh??!!!
We asked for morning kindergarten because the bus comes right across from my house and only picks up kindergartners in the a.m. She would get to eat lunch at school and everything. This year it comes in the p.m and they go early for lunch. I would be ok with her going p.m, she would still ride the bus home, but it would be nice not to have to load up all 3 kids and head down to the school on a daily basis!
Anyway, it is all very exciting. She is registered, and happy that she gets to go to such a big school next year! She likes that the mascot is a Panda, she thinks they are great!

Whoa... total change!

So, lately there hasn't been a whole lot going on to blog about, which I am not loving... this time last year, i was posting like 2 or 3 times a day! Now I am lucky if I get 2 or 3 a month! The weather is starting to look better, as of yesterday our driveway was thawed out, and the snow melted off all the lawns. Then, I woke up this morning, opened the blinds and found it had snowed last night! Oh how I love Spring in Cache Valley!

The last week or so, I have been feeling a little funky. I have been getting really light headed and dizzy, and my heart has been racing! I have been peeing a ton (sorry if that is TMI) and have been drinking a ton as well! Yesterday, I felt really shakey and yucky, and after almost passing out three times, Jonathan called the dr. I told him not to worry since I had my appt next week, but he wasn't kidding around. He talked to the nurse, and told her all of my symptoms, and asked if they could be from gestational diabetes. She concurred, and said that instead of waiting until I am 24 weeks for the gross drink test( you know you love the super sugary version of Orange Crush!!!), they would have me do it next friday (WAHOO, right?). She also said that I had to cut out carbs completely and go on Atkins.

YUCK!!! I LOVE my carbs and don't quite know what to eat anymore! For breakfast, I am a carb junkie with muffins, bagels, biscuits, and peanut butter toast. I had no idea how many carbs I ate until I couldn't eat them anymore!! How many different ways can one person eat eggs in the morning? So, Jonathan went to the store and loaded up on salad stuff, and so now I am researching like crazy trying to figure out what I can eat. I am secretly hoping that it is something else that is making me feel like this, because I really like my breakfast carbs!!! Pasta is a must have as well!

I am sure that I will adjust fine, it just is a big change!! If any of you out there have gone through this in a pregnancy, please leave me any advice that you may have!!

Make it a grand day!
