Graduation Fun!!!

On thursday, my niece Sarah Elizabeth McClain graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. We are soooo proud of her, and I can not believe that my oldest niece is 18 and going to USU in the fall. That makes me feel OLD!! It was a great day, and I didn't cry at all! My mom though is a different story... she was crying even before it started! ;)

The girls HAD to go with me, they didn't want to stay home... they wanted to yell at the top of thier lungs when Sarah's name got called! Oh how much they were troopers. They kept saying "mommy, this is taking a long time, can we go yet???" So, after much anticipation, her name was called and we all screamed as loud as we could. Then, I took the girls outside to run around on the grass.(which they were sooo happy about!) It was fun trying to find everyone after all the people poured out of the Marriot Center(thank heavens for cell phones). We all had a little photo op with the grad and then we left so we didn't get in a huge traffic jam. I am so glad that her graduation was when it was because as we were leaving, the storm of the day started to head in. I am also glad that we drove with my mom, because she had dad's handicapped tag and we got to park very close, which was nice with two small children.

We headed to Stacey's house for the after party. It was fabulous, as always. She is a party planning fool, and never disappoints. We had yummy shish kabobs, and my favorite... the chocolate fountain. She had two huge things of strawberries from Costco (so huge), and I think I ate one of them on my own. We all looked lovely with seeds in our teeth and all the kids had chocolate on there clothes. They had a lot of friends come and share her special day with her. It was a great day! She opened presents and cards. We got her a USU sweatshirt and she put it on immediatly because it was freezing!! She looked very cute in her new school garb, I got it pink, cause she loves it! This is a picture of Beene and Sarah about to open our present we got her. Beene got to help, and Julles didn't want to be down on the ground because my sister's dog Daisy(that is a mix pomeranian and shitzou(sp?)) was by us, and she is terrified of little dogs! So, anyway... the girls got their wish, they got to spend lots of time with the cousins, and they slept very well those few nights we were visiting! Thanks cousins for playing with the girls so much, and thanks to Stacey for once again opening her home to such a huge crowd.

Congrat's Sarah, we are so proud of you and can't wait until you are here in the fall! We'll play lots and I'll show you around our small valley!
